From Etsy export to packaging review
Start with the ordinary packaging route for physical Etsy goods. Separately regulated packaging is outside this release.
First, check your packaging
This app: ordinary packaging
Physical Etsy goods shipped in common product or delivery packaging: paper and cardboard boxes, sleeves and tissue; plastic mailers, film, bubble wrap and tape; glass, metal, wood or textile packaging; and mixed-material packaging. Record the actual materials and weights. A plastic mailer alone does not make a separately regulated single-use plastic product.
Outside this release: separately regulated packaging
The use or product category can trigger a different route, whatever its material: packaging touching food, immediate-consumption food containers or wrappers, drink cups or containers, deposit containers, lightweight carrier bags, packaging for hazardous contents, and returnable or reusable schemes. Paper, plastic, glass and metal can each appear in these cases. These are examples to flag for review, not a legal classification of every item.

1. Check your setup and roles
Record where the business is established, who designs or brands packaging, where suppliers are established, whether packaging is imported, how products reach customers and whether a fulfilment provider is involved. ParcelKind derives possible roles from facts and exposes the reasoning.
2. Test safely, then import
Start with the synthetic Orders by Item test CSV. It is a ParcelKind fixture, not an official Etsy sample. Review columns, duplicates, lifecycle treatment, destinations and discarded fields before committing real data.
3. Build packaging recipes
Record the box, mailer, tissue, label, tape and other components used for common orders. Keep product packaging separate from shipping packaging.
4. Record supplier evidence
If your supplier is the manufacturer, ParcelKind normally helps you request and record the supplier's DoC, technical documentation and supporting evidence. It does not ask you to sign the manufacturer's declaration unless the role engine establishes that responsibility and the required evidence is complete.
5. Review countries and marketplace readiness
Inspect registration, scheme, representative, self-certification and any written marketplace mandate for each destination country. Each country view provides categorised official links and a short external completion guide. Etsy presence never proves that the seller's obligation is covered.
6. Export filing handoffs
Export calculations, country filing-handoff files, evidence requests, technical-documentation packs, guarded DoC drafts where eligible, final review packs and a workspace backup. Country handoffs include quantities, evidence status, official action links and seller-recorded submission references; ParcelKind does not submit them.
